a little tip about imported surfaces (Heal Edges)

sometimes when dealing with imported surfaces,surface edges break into tiny pieces which cause a lot of trouble when applying other surfacing tools. this problem can be eliminated by invoking "Heal edges" (insert->face->Heal edges...). it converts the segmented edge into a single edge.
