SolidWorks Geeks

A project I have been working on deals with some piping. I was using structural members, sweeps and so on. This project requires many parts, sub- assemblies and assemblies. I am in need to keep file sizes down obviously, so as of late I have tried using surface sweeps along with Move / copy bodies. This really brings the file size down, but is there any other Ideas I could use to bring them down even more? Thank You....Dale

You might want to use configurable parts. Then in your assemblies you can set up multiple configs withen each sub assemble. just keep going with configs they are a great way to keep file sizes down. I am working on a larger project now and have been succesfully introduced to the world of multi configs,

Good Luck
Thanks Glenn,
I will give it a go, and let you know how it goes,
