devide a curve into equal lenghts

sometimes it's needed to divide sketch curves(lines,arcs,splines,etc) or edges into equal portions. this can be accomplished using reference point command (insert->reference geometry->point) and specifying number of points to be inserted (evenly distribute option)

Wow, that's very usefull. I just wish that there was a 'pattern feature' created so that you could go back and change the number of points, and so that every point didn't fill up the feature tree. Attached is a screenshot of how it works now (points_orig.jpg) and a mockup of how I think it should work (points_mod.jpg).
