Computer Freezing

One of our users is having issues with drawing freezing his computer up when he trys to open them. do anyone know what may be causing this to happen?

What is the size of the drawing?

What are the system specs?

What version of SW and SP??

The Size of the drawings vary cause it not just one specific one just drawings in general cause it to freeze and another thing he found out yesterday is creating planes cause it to freeze up also.

We are running 2010 with no service pack yet because we completely reinstalled solidworks on to the computer from the discs.

Dell Precision T5400
Intel(R) Xeon (R) CPU
E5405 @ 2.00GHz
2.00Ghz, 2.00 GB of RAM

that is all about his computer i know. if there is anything else i would need to know where i would have to look at.

Are all pcs of same configs. Secondly what is video card. Try updating the video card driver. Also try using he 3gb switch as RAM seems to be less.

I don't mean these are issues but just checks/tests as some of it might work.

we have four other users with the same computer set up and all the drivers are the same. This one computer is the only computer with the issue what i did notice is it allows him to create other reference geometry features just when a plane is trying to be created it freezes.
