Cosmos "Mesh information is not available"
Any FEA experts out there? I keep running into a CosmosWorks error (yes, CosmosWorks, not SW Simulation - I'm still stuck in 2007, and we're not on subscription service). I can't find any references anywhere on the Web, and a friend who checked the SW forums for me found one topic posted with no resolution.
I'm trying to do a study of a weldment, and after I mesh everything, I get the message "Mesh information is not available". The mesh itself is successful - no failures, and everything shows up looking meshy on the screen. It doesn't matter how I start the run - whether I mesh first, then tell it to run, or "mesh and run", or run without having generated the mesh first - I always get the same error.
Yesterday and earlier today, I had been encountering this error semi-regularly, but if I created a new study and copied over my restraints and loads, I could get the model to run successfully. This time I had added several contact sets (at the joint between the rounded corner of a rectangular tube and another member - in reality it will be welded but I was trying to avoid modeling the weld); suppressing the contact sets hasn't helped. Neither has resaving the model, restarting SW, deleting all the study files, etc. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...

P.S. Restarting the computer also didn't solve the problem.

Does you get the error message for every file. If yes, then please create a simple plate and do the FEA on it. If you get the same message then zip the complete folder and upload. Let some one check the settings and test on his//her machine.

Running on a different computer (same SW service pack, 32 bit vs. my 64) seems to have done the trick for now. I just wish there was any information at all about what this error means and how to resolve it rather than working around it...
