Lately, there has been an influx of spammers who joined SolidWorks Geeks. I really wanted to avoid approving each new member but it looks like it has to be done that way for now on. That doesn't mean that I will catch all the spammers before they are released among the geeks. Deepak Gupta has been really been helping out in moderating the site while I was out having fun writing a book. But I don't want to burn out the most valuable member of the site.
We are really close to a milestone for the site, we are probably only a couple months away from reaching 500 members. That is a lot of members for two people to moderate. Thats where you come in... I am putting together a posse and I am looking for some good honest deputies. If you would like to become a moderator for the site and help Deepak and me get rid of the spammers, let me know. Of course, it is a non-paying position but I can promise that when this site really blows up, you will be remembered.
To add what Alex has said, I'll also request all of our valuable members to please update there profile with as much as information as they can, hence making it easier for us to wipe out the spammers. With no information in your profile sometimes makes it difficult to distinguish between a real SW Geeks and a spammer and we don't want to delete out any of our valuable member by mistake.
We look forward for cooperation from every member. Any ideas or comments on improving the site activities or adding any new feature is always welcome and appreciated.
