SolidWorks Geeks

Good day Geeks,

I'm looking into purchasing a new computer. I'd like to know if any of you have useful input regarding which processor to purchase. I'm stuck between the i7 and xeon. I'm trying not to go for broke, so I would like the best bang for my buck. That being said, I'd also like something that I won't have to replace in a year or two.
Most computer geeks out there are saying to overclock an i7-920 and I'll get better speed. I'm not looking for a gaming machine, I'm not into that. I want a stable SW machine that I can also use for the typical 'at home' tasks.
Any and all input will be appreciated.
