SolidWorks Geeks

My favourite shortcut is the "S" key. It's very useful when you have limited time for designing. With using this key you don't need to move your mouse cursors one side of SolidWorks to another.I add all the commands that I use all time and save time for myself. After I started to use this shortcut I even stopped using Sketch button on the top of the screen. It looks to me waste of time.I believe the "S" key is a wonderful tool for designers.Probably most of you know this advantageous shortcut but I strongly recommend to the members who never try to use it.

In addition, i use "M" key for Measure.
"T" key for "Show temporary axes" exc.
Right and similarly you can customize keyboard shortcuts for you (Tools > Customize > Keyboard tab and set your shortcuts)

I love the S key! Its good to note that you add different tools to it in each situation(part, assembly, sketch) so it can be very powerful. Most of the common used tools are also available on a Right Click but the "S" quick tools makes that obsolete. Setting up keystrokes and using the S key saves so much time! Its still there in 2010 but the click-drag tools removes the need for a "stacked" quick tools menu.
