SolidWorks Geeks

Ladies and gentlemen, hello again!

My current question, is if there's any way to make a search in the Design Library Toolbox. For example, if I know the DIN or ANSI number of a standard part, why should I search it manually? Is there any "Search" box, so I can locate the desired standard part, quick & easy?

Thankz in Advanced Mates!

Hi,

You can use the inbuilt search bar at the top right of SW. change it to search files and folders. type your DIN number and it should work.

if it doesnt, check SW Options/System Options/File Locations - Search Paths (in the drop down)

Make sure your SolidWorks Data folder is listed, if not add it. you can also remove search locations to limit the areas SW will search.

Hope this helps,

Justin

Ty very much Justin!!! found it!
