SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGNER - SolidWorks (Contract) Massachusetts

Local MA/NH Candidate Only

The ideal candidate must be strong in design and manufacturing practices. The Senior Designer is expected to take responsibility for various, mechanically intensive sub assemblies and be responsible for their completion into finished detailed packages. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the ANSI Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard.

Minimum Requirements:
*AS degree in mechanical engineering and 12 years of demonstrated machine design experience.
* 5 years experience using a solid modeler.

*Vacuum or Furnace Exp. a plus
*The individual should be capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team consisting of scientists, engineers, and support personnel (machinist-technicians).

Desired skills:
*Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system.
*Knowledge of theory and practice of rotating machinery design, including component bearings.
