Solidworks Issues

Lately i have been having problems when opening up assemblies most parts in the assemblies are suppressed because it is having problems looking the parts. And they way i have been resolving this issue is by opening up the parts them self returning to the assembly and unsuppressing the parts and it is fine afterwords. Has anyone run into this issue before?

Most of the time this happens when you move your part files to a different location on your hard drive or network in windows explorer. If you need to move your files, use SW explorer and make sure to let it find the references.

none of these parts have been moved in the assemblies cause we use sw explorer to move and rename everything cause that was an old issue people were moving and renaming things with out sw explorer and it was not able to find references. But again this just seems to be on random assemblies that were fine when they were previously saved and now they do this.

Can you check one thing. Look for the path of the part, you assembly is looking for and does it differ from the actual part's path.

Paths are the same on both the part and the assembly it just doesn't load them. but here is another issue i am running into i am uploading a drawing that is supposed to have a detailed view M but it shows it blank on my screen and this happens fairly frequently?

By any chance do you sometimes get an error message like 'SW cannot locate file..., would you like to find it yourself'? Its possible the check box to permanantly dismiss this message has been checked and you need to go to your advanced options to turn the error message back on.

alright i went to the advanced options and removed anything that was checked and now after unchecking all of what was checked when i open an assembly solidworks opens up like several other part and assemblies. Is there a reason that is happening?

Does it happen with almost every assembly file, then will advice you to share one to confirm this on other machine.

Alright thank you guys for all the help. Mark thanks for reminding about that error message after unchecking that part it allowed me to find the issue.
