SW-2010 SP2 installation

Hi, I am having trouble in upgrading SW 2010 from SP-0 to SP2. I ma running XP on 64 bit. Wen it installs upto 75%, it terminates the installer and gives an error message:

Error1719. Windows Installer service could not be accessed.

I tried to troubel shoot by reinstalling the windows installer service 4.5, still having same problem. I need help for any one who had this same issue.
