I like both of them. Although, I like the header a little bit more than the logo because it shows some parts. They are both very clean and slick looking. Great job so far Alex.

I think it looks really good, but the drop shadows are a little too strong.
Maybe it's just me, but they give a "blurry" look to the text.

I was trying to achieve 3D effect on the text without actually modeling it in SolidWorks. Itz a good point... I'll continue to play with it some more.

I prefer the first one. The second one is quite tall and pushes everything down the page more. Not bad on a 22" monitor, but on my laptop, it pushes all the info down. The assembly model provides a nice visual too. That's my 2 cents. Great work though!

Sorry guys, accidentally I have lost my data and can't recover it. here are some pics which were in my mind while making the logo. Need some time before I can start doing it again.
