SolidWorks Geeks

This is my second posting on this site with a different issue. That of using Microsoft Windows 7 and Solidworks 2009.

In the early version of Windows 7 build 7000(I have not checked the RC build yet)everytime you open any document file from Solidworks the entire application would immediately crash.

If you go directly to the file outside of Solidworks then open it Solidworks would open as well then you could have access to the file. Yet when your ready to save a file SW would crash as soon as you press the save file button.

Likewise the same thing happens when opening a new file but not right away SW will allow you to draw something up but when your ready to save the new file it would crash the whole interface upon clicking the creation button.

Is anyone using the latest version of Windows 7 and Solidworks 2009? I would like to know if the RC version has solved this issue, thank you in advance.

Kool, sounds like the RC Windows 7 has solved all of these issues. Perhaps, even the issue that is somehow interferring with the proper install of sw09 sp3.
