This is an extremely complicated problem and it will never act like a chain unless you use Move with physical dynamics to drive it. Your best bet is to draw a solid or a path that you can link a point on each link to. More than likely a concentric…

Do you need this to act like a chain or can it be rigid? If so your best bet is to make this as a part. Draw two links(inner and outer) then a path and create a curve driven pattern. Regardless of how you do this you will need a sketch or edge for…

Why?? You create assembly of few links. Now you can insert that as many times as you need and then using fewer mates, attach them all.

Yer hey i have tried this but does still not solve the main problem of having to repeat like a hundrud plus mates for all the links of the chain. Seems like an uneccessary task to me.. dont know how to go around it.

You can insert an assembly into an assembly. So inserted assembly is called sub assembly and assembly in which the sub assembly is inserted is called main or top level assembly. So a subassembly and then you can insert several of those in main or…

hmm not sure exactly, cannot seem to view file. i have set my biycle with mates along path. dont know how to keep object fixed at a tangent to the path face. and dont know how to add a relationship between the man pedalling and the distance covered…
