Its not the best way to do it and certainly not ideal but you can sketch your own boundaries and fill them using the fill/hatch command. You can then make that hatch a block. Ive never tried to do this with any production files because ive never…

No idea if dimension break will work for you. Other possibility might to color the box around the TEXT (this is just a bulb came up, not sure how or what this will do)

Non transparent annotations in drawings

I work with complicated parts and the drawings can tend to get very busy. Sometimes I dont always have the choice to add a LONG leader line just to place a note or section symbol or dimensions outside of the part. If there was a way to add a nontransparent text block around selected text so the part lines do not interfere with the text, I know my drawings would be a lot easier to make and a lot neater. never ind... apparently its only in Assembly Drawings you can control your section depth. Thats pretty dumb.

Section Properties Problem

This is something thats baffling me as Ive NEVER had this problem before....Im in a drawing and I cut the section I needed, and normally, id set my section depth to only a few inches.I cant seem to find my option to do that anymore.I attached a Screen shot of my Section property manager so you don't all think im crazy lolIm still running 2.1 should i upgrade and see if the problem fixes?See More
