Hello Matt Perez, Thanks for the information. But I hope scan to 3d needs a license.   Deepak, I have tried on different machine that has 12GB ram, but the problem remains  same. Hope windows play a role in this case.Am running on xp.

Are you running 32bit XP.  What version of SW are you running?  There is a big jump in performance when you go to a 64bit system.  32bit xp has a limit on the RAM.  Even if you have more than 3gb xp will not use it.  What…

solidworks running out of memory

Hello All,I usually get an error whenever I try to open the scan data that is in IGES format. We usually work on reverse engineering and hence scan data import into part is a must. Sometimes we have file size of the IGES data that goes upto 100MB. I am unable to use the data as the system gets hanged often. But the same file I open in PRO-E or CATIA works at faster rate. I have a higher version of SW so not sure if you open that up. You can use the base sketch to dimension the radius.

You can smoothen that area by using fit spline option. Check the attached video showing one of the way to do it.
